How can I fix SAGE “1327 Invalid Drive” error?

SAGE accounting application may show you some complications and user is not able to access the application. Sometimes, users come across an error code 1327 that is an installation error and it pops-up when the installation suggested by SAGE are not followed properly. Process: 1 Edit Registry Key

Note: please note that you need to create a backup before you make any changes

First, you need to press Windows key + R, now type RGEDIT and next press “Okay”.

Now browse HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows Current Version Explorer User Shell Folders.

In the right side of its interface, you need to search for an entry that has an alpha character other than C (the operating system drive letter). If you find that all entries start with a letter C then you can proceed to its next step.

Now you have to double-click on a line that doesn’t begin with C, change the value data box with a needed value and you don’t need to change anything else in the Window.

Next, you have to click “Okay” and close this “Registry Editor”.

After that, you have to install SAGE 50, if you persist some error then proceed to the next process.

Process: 2 Create a mapped drive

First, you have to right-click on your desktop screen and press New and then folder.

Now you have to right-click on this folder and choose properties, then press on Sharing tab.

Next, press Advanced sharing, now you have to check Share this folder and then press “Permissions.”

With everyone highlighted, you need to check full control and then you have to press “Okay” and close this properties window.

Now again you have to right-click on your desktop screen and choose properties there and select a computer name and then close this dialog box screen.

On your keyboard, you have to press Windows Key + R and next, you have to enter computer name (replace the computer name) and then press “Okay”.

Now right-click Test and next you have to choose Map Network Drive and then you have to set the drive letter to the letter that you noted in its error message and next, press “Finish”.

Once the installation gets completed, you have to disconnect the network drive and delete the test folder from your desktop screen.

Process: 3 Uninstall/Reinstall the latest version

First, you need to uninstall software:

Open control panel and next you have to press uninstall or programs and features.

Now loom for Sage 50 20## program, then press uninstall and reboot your PC.

Now download the latest version and then install it and you are done.
